djpgamer7
I have a corsair k55, sometimes my backlighting works and sometimes it doesnt. Ive already tried all basic steps; reflashing a firmware given by corsair support, fn and f4 holding escape and rebooting keyboard. I have done all, i know the lights arent dead. Anyone know of a permanent fix?
Corsair Employee Corsair Lettuce Posted July 19, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 19, 2018 Actually, the method provided with the fn and f4 is just a soft reset. With the k55 you cannot manually flash the keyboard all firmware updates are done through the software itself.
savvy2
older post try more that one USB port some PCs can not do over 100MA on 1 uSB port. so backlighting can fail. (older PCs are weak) if power is the issue, the USB port will do that windows sound for disconnect.. you can also cure this with 2 tricks. the 2 USB to 1 cable trick doubling current. (sold in fleabay) or buy a $10 powered hub, that is and active powered hub with true 500MA ports. this later fix is super good, and allows lots of things to connect, like gaming pads and such. Good luck to all here !
