RiverM Posted February 2, 2019 Share Posted February 2, 2019 The rubber grommets are to be used with the wide head silver screws that are about halfway threaded. The grommets press into the hard drive caddies at the bottom and screws go through the grommets and into the bottom circuit board side of a HDD to mount the HDD label facing out of the drive caddy. The toolless white grommets and pins in the side of the caddy need to be removed if the drive is installed this way; it is one way or the other depending on which direction you want the HDDs to mount. Be aware, when I tried bottom mounting my drives the glass door on my 500D case touched the sheetmetal cover of my top drive but the door magnet seemed to have the door fully closed with the cushion touching the case frame. I completed my install by installing my HDDs circuit board, bottom, side facing out. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
