Mike_Warner
I just watched http://vimeo.com/10762791?hd=1 and realized the hard drive compartment fan configuration is different from the 800D. When I was researching cases and found the Obsidian series I wondered about the 800D's method of ventilating the hard drive compartment; I'm no kinda engineer but blowin' the air out of that compartment against the side panel and expecting it to politely make a 90 degree turn and head for the vent holes on the back of the case seemed counterintuitive to me. I've never had a hard drive temp problem and as I've said in other posts I trust Corsair so I dismissed my concern as naivete and pre-ordered a 700D. I'm still not real concerned, I'm still trusting that Corsair has engineers that know more about this stuff than I do, but this configuration adds another 90 degree turn the air flow has to make on its way to the vent holes on the back of the case and am curious to hear others' thoughts about this. I apologize if I'm beatin' a dead horse here but bringin' my rig back to life with an eye on longevity is takin' pretty close to every penny of my retirement check for a few months- in fact, me and http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj24/Zeetocht/DX-31A.jpg are probably gonna have to get used to eatin' a little less for a while :p: Thanks
