keal Posted April 1, 2009 Share Posted April 1, 2009 I've read on various websites that SDD drives use the same amount of power - or even more - than standard hard drives. With that in mind, here's my personal, day-to-day real-world results, which are a lot more positive: I use my Sahara i440D slate PC to play music videos with the screen brightness at its highest setting, and audio volume at near maximum level. With the stock hard drive, I would consistently get 100 minutes with each battery. When I switched to a Corsair 128GB SSD drive, I now get anywhere from 115 to 120 minutes.
