jimstar
running an LSI 9265-8i attached to a super micro sc847e16-jbod1 chassis we have 3 ssds inserted in a raid 0 for cache cade 2.0, Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F120GBGT-BK 2.5" firmware 5.03 long story short these drives cause all of our other drives to start throwing timeout errors, the instant we remove these drives from the cachecade 2.0 the other drives in the shelf work fine. no big surprise right? this corsair drive is not listed on the lsi compatability document, lbut both the corsair and the "supported" vertex from OCZ which are 6gig drives run LSI sanforce. so you would hope there could be a simple solution! http://www.lsi.com/downloads/Public/RAID%20Controllers/RAID%20Controllers%20Common%20Files/MegaRAID_Value_Feature_Interop_List_SAS2.pdf the fact that both of these drives use sanforce controllers obviously arent the only thing which cause an issue supporting these drives in cachecade 2.0, im sure there a jillion other factors. my two questions are: can you fix these drives so they can be used for cache cade? is there another firmware i can run for these that would work better with a raid/lsi configuration?
