Tiro
Hi! I recently bought a new high-end computer with a Corsair SSD Force Series 3 90GB. However, I don't really feel the effects of having a SSD disk; my computer does not load notably faster than my old computer with a spinning disk. Also, it takes much longer to boot the OS than on other SSD based computers. My SSD disk contains nothing but Windows 7 64-bit and Battlefield 3, and has been optimized using the suggestions I found on this forum. Here is a screenie of some tests from AS SSD Benchmark. Here's a list of what I have already tried: - Ensured its plugged in a SATA 6GB port with equivalent cable - Updated its firmware - Updated my BIOS - I 'm quite sure I have the correct drivers (not positive though) - ran Intel Driver Update Utility online - Moved most temp files (incl Win 7) to my spinning drive - Stopped diskfragment, windows search, and superfetch services - Ensured TRIM is running - By MSI's recommendation, enabled AHCI and Hot Plug options Do you think anything is wrong, and what could I do to increase performance? Thanks! Best Regards, Tiro
Malign
i would run the ATTO benchmarking because that is what they use to check the speeds of the ssd. Also i have read that there was nothing on the drive when they tested it. as far as loading faster, i have the same problem but one guy had mentioned that maybe the bootimes could be affected by having the bios reading another drive as well. KILLER_K
The benchmark score is good. AS SSD uses predominantly incompressible data. Where ATTO uses compression data. So you will get the advertised speed on ATTO. Thanks
