Methedrine
Hi all, have a quick question regarding something I'm working on at this very moment. I've just received my new 500D SE case today, and I'm looking to mount 2 x LL120s into the top fan tray, but I've noticed that two of the foam rubber dampeners on the same side on the fan chassis' don't actually press up against the trays. Is there something I am missing here? It seems strange to me that there would be this overhang, and that only one side would have the dampeners properly secured against the tray whilst one is pure plastic chassis up against the tray. It also means the fan is sitting at a wonky angle. I've been looking over the net for the past hour or so, and it seems nobody has address this scenario. Cheers. Corsair Employee Corsair Caliente Posted July 20, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 20, 2018 It is a little wonky. Unfortunately that's the way the tray is tooled. It's generally fine with our other fans but the rubber dampeners on the LL fans happen to be a bit big.
Methedrine
Yeah I just went ahead with it being a bit wonky. Seems to be fine. Now I just have greater issues with the fans being much louder than I expected.
