May the force be with you...

I thought it might be nice at the end of this post to show you a bit of the process that went into creating the 'Duel' mode. Might even help you to create your own!

I first started designing it in photoshop, representing each key on the keyboard as a pixel, meaning that my canvas for each frame (without the grey border) is about 24 pixels by 7 pixels.

I wanted a 30fps animation over 2 seconds. This meant 60 frames of animation total. I frequently took the image to Gamemaker 8.1 and used the sprite sheet function to check on the animation.

Once happy with it I had to calculate how much time each frame would be, because time in CUE is represented as a number between 0 and 1, I ended up with a value of .01667.

Using excel, I automated the sums to generate times for all 60 frames to start and end. I took these values and entered them into a template .lght

Using the images, I slowly made my way through duplicating the template, entering in the data and importing the .lght into CUE for each key.

It might just be me not knowing 100% how to work CUE, but I can't seem to get any keyboard profiles to load or anything. I can change the mouse profiles, but the keyboard stays black. It's a k65 rgb, also didn't see any instructions of any sort in the download.

Did the CUE2 beta break some of these? I imported, and some of them such as Duel, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett just seem to be blank. The light saber ones seems to work fine, as does the Squadron one.

Yes, none of my profiles have been updated for CUE2 yet.

Does this profile work with the Scimitar mouse? I don't know how to make it work like in the light saber mode. I ended up just making a blue color match, as I don't see any option for Synchronized Lighting in the drop down menu.

Love this profile, been using it for months!

No such thing as synchronized lighting, if you want it to match you'll have to do it manually. Still waiting on my Scimitar so I'm not sure to what extent it works yet.

I'm talking about the CUE Link Synchronized Lighting option. I have drop down options for Spiral Rainbow, Wave, Rain, etc. etc. I'm guessing people just can't make a profile like yours be synchronized across different devices.

Ahhh, no. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that.
