Mp500

Hi everyone.

I have bought myself a new PC, and i'm planing to install Windows on a M.2 MP500 ssd.

The OS i'd like to install is Win 7. I have encountered many articles is the internet, that one must have a Nvme driver for the m.2 ssd in order to install Win 7 on it.

Does this driver exist for the MP500? Share please!!

If someone has this drive, maybe you could send me the driver file via e-mail?

Sadly, but win 10 is the way to go(

After installation everything seems to work, but:

AIDA64 shows, that it is at ~65 degree C. Is this normal? I'm only surfing the web, doing simple things, no serious load.

I'm afraid that when i'm going to for example play games or watch 4k movie, the disk will overheat. Should I may be buy HHHL adapter to put the disk a little bit away from motherboard? Cuz on my MOBO (asus maximus 9 formula) the disk is placed under plastic cover, that probably keeps some addition heat near the disk.

Is there a difference how the disk is connected: to the m.2 socket or to the PCIe slot with HHHL adapter?

Thank you for the answer.

They said, that it's pretty normal.

I'm not totally agree, but maybe they know best.

What do you, guys, think about putting some heatsink on the drive?

Or maybe something like these, smaller ones:

I'm not sure, will I be able to stick a small sink on the controller chip itself, beacuse it has smaller surface comparing to memory chips, and juts up.

Shoul I peel off corsair sticker? I think I shouldn't, it aligns drive's surface.

What do you think?

My MOBO has 2 M.2 slots.

One is under a cover, other - is not + located at the bottom and perpendicularly to the MOBO.

After moving to that last slot I now have 52-54c in total idle state, and 59-61 after archiving a 3GB folder.

Support said: " 'm seeing 68C for load transferring big files. For idle mid 30s to low 40s "

Load temp is a somewhat similar, but idle is definitely not.
