Love this new theme, much better colour and more corsair

time to crank up Eddie and the Cruisers ''On the Darkside'' ;):

All of a sudden the forum changed to a hideous black and red dark theme... how to change it back...???

used to be an option at lower left but not there now,black wreaks havoc on my eyes...

cant stand it. Yuck.

This theme may be ok for the kiddies, but as a older folk it hurts my eyes. If I had to choose one word, hideous.

 

Any serious site offers it's users a choice.

i don´t like the bright red / Orange, better is wine red like the post reply color. dark black and bright red makes a too strong contrast.

the black background doesn't work. It makes things hard to read.

Someone who knows very little about web design and forums seems to be re-designing the website.

 

Apparently they didn't get the message that black backgrounds are out. If you notice, the main corsair site is using the same colors. Yuck.

 

I bet the next thing will be flash and games.

Yup, the option was removed. The more pro/con comments we get on the new style the better.

 

for the record i liked the option or the blue. the blue was more luminescent and i could see my keyboard better ;)

i agree,i have several sites open,,all are white

going from black to a white one is like a smack in the eyes

also being color blind,,it quite hard to tell what posts ive read and what i havent

 

and when you reply to a post, BAM its white

I'm all for options, but personally, my eyestrain went through the roof. Please enable the option to choose the previous style.

i can only handle a few minutes at a time so unfortunately my viewing time will be limited...

I agree, I hate the black. I would like to have the option again.

I too agree - the new colour scheme is awful, distracting and not useable :mad:

The point that forum designers have missed is that, if no one else can see the colour option I have selected, then there's no reason to have that option taken away.

And no it does not take more resources to manage different colour schemes. If it does, then Corsair should seriously fire the web-site developers.

 

Conspiracy: It's a way to reduce product bitching on the forums.

Absolutely crap !

No contrast in the orange (read/unread items). Black and white is to sooooo yesterday !

I found a userscript (cached link since the server is down) to invert websites. Highly recommended for Firefox (Greasemonkey) or Chrome (Tampermonkey) users until Corsair fixes this mess.

I will pass the comments to the powers that be. But, I was instructed to make the forum match our new website (love it or hate it) which is based on the same color scheme and we've had a generally positive response internally and here. Nothing about the forum will change in the immediate future but I will inquire about enabling the option to change to the old/default color scheme. ::pirate::

i cant really see allowing the individual the color option disrupts the overall scheme?

honestly most at corsair cant be very old or colorblind,else they would understand

It's a branding and uniformity thing.

You could keep the black banners and red trim, but maybe change the post backgrounds to a dark gray with a slightly larger/bolder font so the stark contrast doesn't cause eye bleeding. For now I'm using a script to invert the site!
