mmfish
I purchased a fan cable splitter the single end has a female 4 pin opening and each of the two split ends(1 and 2) have (1) four pins (2) three pins. I do not understand this if it's a splitter why there would be a different number of pins in each site? I assume this is to split the power to the fan not the RGB component or am I wrong? Thank you for your help.
DevBiker
It does split the fan power, not the RGB. The "missing pin" is for the Tachometer reading - so, your RPM reading. That can only come from one fan. The cable is correctly designed.
mmfish
Is the fan hub for rgb connectors or power connector and with a commander pro how many RGB Fans can I control without a fan hub?
DevBiker
You absolutely must have an RGB Fan Hub to control fan RGB. This is different from a fan hub for fan power and speed. Please look at the RGB FAQ for more details.
