The problem with the Platinum might be caused by an old SDK.
I've updated it (using the latest github sources) to use the latest version, it might work for you with this.

I see others posting it but I don't quite understand any of the solutions.
My Framework. NET is at 4.5 or higher.
I am running 2.1 speakers on a 5.1 mixer.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Is a keyboard connected and SDK-support for it in CUE enabled?

This fixed it! Thanks! It looks awesome.

A bit off-topic - but do you know if the issue you fixed might be related to the issue I have in my other thread regarding not being able to get the sample SDK apps working?

No sorry, I'm not working with C++ so I have never used the example-applications.

Does this still work with CUE 1 or do I need CUE 2 nowadays?

Edit: Asking cause I get an "Unable to initialize CUE support" error when trying to run the program.

Should work with CUE 1 too - have you enabled SDK-support in CUE?

So apparently it works when I put it in the same folder as CUE itself. Although settings are a complete mess. And rainbow doesn't work. Weird. Downloaded V1.2 and this one works perfectly now... hmmm
