NoPro to NoPro cable

Hi,

I'm trying to link NoPro to an RGB fan LED controller, to run both SP and LL fans in my 570X. I don't understand why its so hard to find this cable for sale anywhere. Why does Corsair not sell this cable?

To buy the parts from Digi-key (DIY assemble a cable), is cheap but not when you have to ship it across the world. Ditto the Piratedogtech pre-made cables.

Can anyone confirm that a Molex 50-57-9403 (CONN HOUSING 3POS .100 W/LATCH) is the same as a Dupont 3-pin connector (without the latch part)? If this is the case I can order from Aliexpress and make my own cable for a reasonable price.

Thanks

You ... uhh ... don't link Lighting Node Pros (NoPro) together. You can connect a NoPro to a Fan Hub with a 3-pin male to male connector.

If you want to build your own cables, you can check out http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=174759. All of the part numbers are listed there.

Or if you just want to buy them, you can get them here: https://www.ebay.com/str/piratedogtech. But ... shipping.

Check out the RGB FAQ at http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=173880 as well to make sure that you are hooking the right things together.

Thanks, yes sorry got my parts mixed up!

I've seen those posts and great information, just too expensive to ship parts or cables to NZ.

Would the Dupont fittings work as a substitute for the Molex connectors? I can at least get these from Aliexpress for a few dollars.

Cheers

Matt

In most cases, they will ... but they don't lock in place and are easily reversed. Folks have even used jumper cables for Arduinos and such. But, again, they don't lock in place and can be reversed.

Brilliant, thanks, I will give it a go..... and promise not to blame you:laughing: if it all goes horribly wrong. Have a great weekend.
