always_winter
was wondering surely good corair ram is designed to be able to have better timmings then it comes with right? anyone know what the best timmings tightest timming/ are for CMU16GX4M2C3200C16 corsair 3200 16-18-18-* is current timmings
emissary42
Depends on the ICs used on your kit. Have you checked them with Thaiphoon Burner? Also which platform are we talking about (CPU/MB)?

emissary42
Your kit is single sided / single rank and uses Hynix 8Gbit AFR ICs. If you are ok with higher voltages you might be able to tighten the primary timings down to 15-17-17 / 15-16-16 or even 14-16-16. However there is more performance hidden in the secondary and tertiary timings. Try how close you can get to the subtimings for my XMP full custom result: http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=174828
always_winter
higher voltage then 1.35 ? or 1.
emissary42
Higher than 1.35V ;) I only had one Corsair kit with 8Gbit AFR and they needed around 1.39V for DDR4-3200 14-16-16. But don't focus too much in the primaries, instead tighening the subs can give you similar or bigger gains without the need for added voltage.
