olspookishmagus Posted September 25, 2017 Author Share Posted September 25, 2017 I've highlighted where one can see a barcode on a CMFSSD-32D1. This however is NOT the value found from the drive's SMART table. The barcode consists of two series of 8 and 7 numbers separated by a dash while the serial found on the SMART table is 20 chars long that also has capital letters in it. Maybe I'm missing something but if such a drive becomes non-operational, how would one find its serial? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Toasted Posted September 25, 2017 Share Posted September 25, 2017 As an alternative, you can just attach a sticker with the written serial number displayed to you at the back of the SSD.
