Default Corsair HS60 quiet mic

Hey all,

I had this problem in the past back when I first got these in September 2018. The mic is insanely quiet to the point of barely noticeable that it's even registering.

I did a fix back then that made it great, to the point of people complimenting on how crisp it was.

Latest windows update has come through, reinstalled Skype and destroyed my audio settings, and I can't for the life of me figure out what I did back then to fix it.

Have there been any updates on this issue since back then, as it was all super vague answers in the past? Hopefully trying to retrace my steps to fix this.

I work from home in game dev so really need to get this going again. The headset has been great for its price once I fixed the mic.

Regards.

Edit: So far have tried EquilizerAPO and doing mic boosts there, that gets me better mic levels but an insane amount of white noise along with it.

Make sure the audio quality for your microphone is set to DVD quality and not Telephone quality. It appears a Windows update affected this setting with quite a few microphones.
