Link annd LEDs - what do I really need?

I have an RM750, and H100i, and 4 Dominator Platinum. I have the CL software running and I can change the LEDs on the H100i pump. I think its pretty cool.

1) I was considering getting the lighting kits for the Dominator Platinum. But started to wonder, but functionality does CL provide for them. Just on/off? or dimming. Its clear you cant change colors

2) the RM750 supports CL I believe, but my didnt come with a CL cable. What functionality would I have if I had the cable. Status/Monitoring and fan control of the RM750?

3) I am toying with the idea of the Corsair LED strings. This lead to final question. do I need a Corsair Commander? Or can they plug into the H100i pump somehow? I thought I read that, but I didnt see anything in the owners manual on that.

2) You need a http://www.corsair.com/en/corsair-link-analog-to-digital-bridge-cable-for-rm-series-psu. It just reports the fan speed and +12V current.

3) You need a CL Mini http://www.corsair.com/en/corsair-commander-mini

I will need to read some more, but I thought the H100i could act are the commander or hub or something for the corsair link stuff. Maybe that was just to plug additional fans into it. I really dont recall. and didnt find it after a few searches (thus thought to ask here)

1) After reading the link I don't think the Dominator® Platinum Light Bar Upgrade Kit can be controlled by CL at all.

3) The H100i can act as a 1 port hub and can control a total of 4 fans, but it can't control external LEDs so you need a CL Mini. If you could get a http://www.corsair.com/en-us/corsair-link-lightning-node you could connect this via the H100i and control two sets of LEDs, but they are no longer available.
