QUESTION: On the motherboard Asus Rampage II EXTREME (LGA 1366) intel x58, processor: intel core i7cpu 975 3,33Ghz, the DDR3 16GB / 1600 CORSAIR Vengeance [514967] (4x4Gb) QUESTION: can I mount them, are COMPATIBLE with that motherboard, with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit operating system? c-attack Posted November 4, 2017 Share Posted November 4, 2017 X58 was a tri-channel platform, so it is unlikely any one ever tested that kit on that board. I do not know if using three of the four sticks will work and likely the only way to find out is to try. If you are already in possession, there is not much to lose, but if you are purchasing, I would look for a tri-channel kit first. I am not sure how much tri-channel stuff is still out there.
