gimp123
Hi, my PC have been running fine for about two years but now only one of my disks is seen by the bios. The disk that is not detected is the one with the OS. I have tried: - switching cables With the one that Works - booting up with the win7 recovery disk - booting up with a ubuntu(Linux) usb pin I have ssen similar post on the forum but not a solution that I could understand. Any ideas about the next steps? My disk type is F115GB2
Toasted
Have you tried a different computer? Does the computer detect the SSD?
gimp123
No unfortunately I do not do not have any other computer available. What I hope for is some diagnostic tools that can be run from a memory stick, that bypasses the BIOS. I have seen the ssd toolbox tool that needs the OS to work(?). Toasted
Yes, the SSD toolbox requires Windows to work. Are the drives still in warranty (Three years)? If yes, you can request an RMA to replace it.
gimp123
OK, now I have bought another ssd disk and reinstalled the os again (still win7). The warranty will replace the disk without any atempts to check the cause for failure. I will realy try to get the contence out if possible. The ssd toolox did not see anymore than the bios, so still, no contact. Is there other tools, e.g. that bypass the bios? Is it worth trying to take the disk apart and change part with the other similar working disk? (yes, then the warrenty will be gone, but I dont care about that)
Toasted
Is the other SSD a Corsair SSD?

Toasted
Unfortunately, you cannot retrieve the data from the drive that is no longer detected in the BIOS switching parts won't help as well.
