charliehorse55
There is an error in the SSD guide about TRIM http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=84677 It says that Trim is ONLY currently supported on Windows 7. As a Linux user using a Corsair SSD and TRIM this is wrong. Either change the wording or mention that Linux (As of 2.6.28) supports TRIM.
Synthohol
that forum post is from 1/27/2010 so im sure its a bit behind. currently Corsair is only able to support Windows based systems. im sure an admin (hi Wired) can contact one of the "Beards" and see if that can be added but again, Corsair cannot support Linux or MAC last i heard so that may be why it was omitted? charliehorse55
Linux had TRIM support before windows... But I see your point. Seems silly that Corsair doesn't support Mac or Linux, do they just hate Unix or something?
Synthohol
linux comes in many many many flavors with open source and all that goodness but windows comes in 3? with only few variations between them. its also more mainstream and easier to support on a marketshare basis. charliehorse55
Something as core level as Trim is implemented at the core kernel level, and thus is identical across all distributions.

charliehorse55
What do you mean by this? Well if it is true that Corsair won't support users running Mac OS X or Linux then my post was a joke, as Linux was based off Unix, as was the BSD core than runs Mac OS X.
