Hello all, I just bought this memory on ebay the "picture" shows it's

Dominator GT,,, red & black labels

AD Showed "Corsair Dominator CMG4GX2M2A1066C5 4GB 1066MHz" ((will be 2 sets 8gb.))

(was i better off with QUAD2X4096-8500C5DF 4x1gb = 4gb)

Upgraded because cod mw3 was running my mem @ 95 %

based on part number , is this gt mem? and is it Dual Channel ? is this SLI Ready mem ?

Going to use it on ,Motherboard: XFX 680i-sli

Cpu: intel QX6850

video: EVGA 580 gtx

ANY MEM Setting Suggestion ????

Thanks Matt.

Yes it is GT. But there is no such thing as dual channel memory. That is a function of the MB and why it will register as single, dual, ect depending on the number of sticks used That is basically the way it is packaged. The modules themselves may be used across may different platforms. Two sticks would be a dual channel kit. 4 sticks could theroetically be dual channel or quad.

Same goes for SLI. Memory has no bearing on SLI what so ever.

Also mixing two kits(yes even the exact same part number) can be a total crap shoot and is not a suggested or supported configuration. So two kits of the exact same memory have a great chance of not working with each other.

You should buy a matched 8 gig kit from one single package.
