cmk16gx4m2b3000c15r ver 5.32 boot up fail

Greetings,

I recently bought 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX [cmk16gx4m2b3000c15r ver 5.32] kit and unfortunately can't get my system to boot up into Windows 10

properly as it keeps on BSoD after 5-10 sec of loading.

My specs:

Cpu: I7-7700k (stock speeds)

Mobo: MSI Z270 Tomahawk

SSD: Kingston A400

Graphics: RX580 (Removed atm)

PSU: Seasonic S12 II 620W

OS: Windows 10

On the motherboard page for the MSI Z270 (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z270-TOMAHAWK#support-mem-4) under compatible memory cmk16gx4m2b3000c15r ver 4.24 is listed but on my memory kit it states it's ver 5.32.

So, my question is... Can this be the issue, the difference in the versions of the memory kits?

Thank you for your time. Cheers!

The different versions of memory kits defines the manufacture of the memory module. The 4.x is Samsung, while the 5.x is Hynix. So there is a difference, Samsung tends to be better. The memory QVC is for XMP do you have it enabled or disabled? Try disabling and see if you have the same issue, if you have XMP enabled. If XMP isn't enabled then you might have another issues. Do you have any other memory or this is just it?

Could be.

OP, did you try using one module at a time? If that works, make sure you're on the latest bios version as well.

Everything is on the default, I haven't changed XMP or any other setting in the Bios (bit afraid I could do damage to the some component). Have to check if XMP is on by default tho, shouldn't be afaik.

No, I only have this memory kit.

I did try each ram slot and I've also updated Bios in my attempts to fix it, neither helped.

Thanks for your suggestions.

So...

I've went into Bios, checked the settings. XMP profile is off, all or majority of settings are on "auto" or default values.

I've made screenshots, but me being a total pleb when it comes to these kinds of things, with my phone and only afterwards noticed that F12 function to make screenshots to your USB drive. Hope you won't mind poor image quality.

Hope these are of some use to you guys. Thanks once again.

Try enabling XMP on now. If issues still present get an exchange for the kit through vendor if still possible or create a ticket through us at support.corsair.com

Did that and problem persisted but error now was boot_device_inaccessible (before it was WHEA or something like that). Googled a bit more and ran across several random Tomshardware threads, tried changing some Bios settings regarding Windows 7/8/10 compatibility, boot order even tho I only have SSD pluged in atm.

One user suggested using Windows recovery thingy to boot into Safe mode and just restart your PC, did that and for the moment my PC has successfully booted up in normal mode and running for 1-2 hours now.

Did 15min Aida64 stress test for CPU, local drives and memory, did not crash. Let's hope it remains stable, will post again if things go for the worse.

Thank you very much for the help guys, otherwise I would still be stranded with brand new non-functional build. Thaaaanks! <3

That's very weird, glad you're up and running now though.
