uffbros
I have never been able to update the firmware on my above listed drive. I use the Toolbox and when I click to update firmware the next window says I have version M311 and says available version is M311. I click download and it then does it...shuts the computer down. When I boot back up still has M311. I have Windows 10 Pro 1703. Is it supported under 10? Read about disabling ahci or something..How do I do this or determine this? Thanks. Toasted
Are you experiencing any problems with the drive? You need to enable AHCI for the firmware update to work. Have you tried installing the latest SATA drivers or tried the MSAHCI drivers?
uffbros
No problem with drive. How do you enable AHCI? no idea where to get sata drivers. what is MSAHCI drivers
Toasted
AHCI is enabled via the BIOS/UEFI. MSAHCI are Microsoft's generic AHCI driver. You can switch drivers by selecting the standard AHCI driver rather than your chipset driver under Device Manager.
gregglee
the next window says I have version M311 and says available version is M311. ...When I boot back up still has M311. Did you mistype something. This says you already have M311. And M311 is the latest version.
