Ok Here is how you can get rid of iCUE integration

Open explorer
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MysticLight
Move these files

CorsairLayers_2013.dll
CorsairLFX_2013.dll
CUELFX_2013.dll
CUESDK_2015.dll

somewhere else.
Restart.

Now you can control MoBo but won't be able to change anything from iCUE.

This fixed my issue. I didn't realize MSI was hijacking the mousepad's color setting. Once I was back in MysticLight, I had to set the sync profile to "Individual" as well.

Well, since there has been no response from Corsair, only offering me a replacement, which would not fix it because this is already my second replacement device.

Buuutt...... this must have been some sort of software / driver issue.
Because, i built myself a totally new rig from the scratch last weekend, and the "not working MM800" works flawless now. Installed iCue and instantly the K95, MM800, LL120 Node Lighting Hub, Corsair Vengeance Memory, H150i Watercooling system got recognized and there weren't any problems the last days....
I hope this will stay like that and I'm totally happy...

Here are some pics, to get an "eyegasm" :P
PS: The Blue Scheme is for CS GO CT Side, the red scheme for CS GO T Side, switching the profiles with the "Image UP"/"Image DOWN" keys...

Have you been continuing to have issues with this??? I have had my MM800 on ever since we first spoke about it. It did it almost immediately that first day. Then 10 days later. Then never again, now coming up on 10+ weeks. I thought perhaps it had been solved in the iCUE 3.6. Well, I am glad this is over for you. Not sure what to make of the entire thing. It seems weird for it to happen to me within 5 minutes after plugging in, but we never got many other contributions or "me too".

Yes, since i started this thread, until the end I had the same problem of rainbow spiral not changing, log files full of errors. But other then offering a replacement, which would be useless, cause this is also a replacement device and got the same error as soon as I plugged it in, there was no solution working.

But as I said, i built this new rig last weekend, and since then i had no problems at all yet. So hopefully it will stay this way...

The only way to fix it is to go to the settings of iCUE and turn off/on SDK support!
I do not know what happened it was all okay recently.
I did reinstall of iCUE, did not help.
Thanks Ray! That's exactly the issue I was having. My mouse wouldn't turn on, my mm800 was stuck on red and the top light bar on my k95. Must be a bad update or something, glad I don't have to reinstall.

This will update the firmware and bring the device back from its bootloader state.

As for your USB issues, attach me the logs from iCUE (settings -> export logs) and we can try to see why its happening.
I am having an issue where my mm800 is not recognized by my computer or CUE at all. It worked the first time i booted up with it connected. The next time i booted up it was off, i re plugged the USB and it came on.

This time it booted up, nothing. i found this thread and followed these instructions and it worked. However that was short lived, and i moved it from one USB slot to another and it wont come on again, even if i retry this step.

I have this same issue with lighting settings not persistent on the MM800 and have had this issue for the 2 years I've owned 2 different MM800s and have received no solution, although I have tried very many things.

Just posting here to second that this is a very annoying issue.

Sadly nothing helped for me with my old rig. Since i built my new computer from the scratch two months ago (every thing new), it works now, and never had an issue.
I really can't tell where the problem with the old system (wrong / misfunctional / old drivers, usb ports, mainboard, software...) was, but now it works without a second misfunctioning on the new rig.

Sadly I have been there too, with a USB sound issue on a older system I could never shake off. No number of fresh OS installs or drive wipes would do it. While I could never prove it, I wondered quite a bit about the board. Took the old stuff off, jacked into the new one, never a problem again. These kinds of issues are really infuriating and drain the life out of you during the problem solving process.
