Corsair RGB Scimitar side buttons not working in game?

I've had this mouse just under a year now and for a while everything was fine, every button I mapped on the side buttons worked but suddenly it stopped working, kinda. By that I mean, whenever I'm not in a game and press the button it will type the specific letter/number/symbol its relevant to, but when I am in a game it will only work sometimes now. I used my 4 and 5 buttons for R6: Siege as my Q and E buttons respectively but now since its glitching out its just not worth it.

 

I've looked online and through these forums but found nothing that has helped, everything basically just saying make sure you save your macro, which I have, it could be account switching, when I only have 1 account.

 

Not really sure what else to do but I basically have a mouse with 12 buttons that don't work. It's not a huge issue but I don't have a push to talk button I can be comfortable with anymore and when in a game and having to push a button on your keyboard that just isn't comfortable isn't ideal.

Have you assigned any action to those buttons from CUE? If so which actions/macros have you added?
