iCUE Vengeance RGB Pro Color Layering?

For all other Corsair peripherals, you can layer the colors in iCUE. For example, I can have a static white color on the LL fans, then apply a Rain effect on the layer above the static white, which results in a predominantly white color, with some random rain effects thrown in.

However, with the Vengeance RGB, if I have a static color and add a layer on top of it, the layers below the new layer are off. In the example above, the white LED goes off and only the Rain effect remains. Is this by design? Will this be updated in the future?

This is by design ... when software control is disabled (this is the default).

If you go to the settings for the Vengeance RGB Pro and check "Enable full software control", you'll get layering. One caveat - it does increase CPU usage. I believe that they are working on this.
