darkinners Posted January 21, 2018 Share Posted January 21, 2018 I already have a Dominator Platinum CMD64GX4M4C3000C15 64GB kit (4x16GB DDR4 3000Mhz) Since Dominator Platinum can have Samsung B-Die or SK Hynix chips in it. My kit happens to have SK Hynix chips. I am planning to buy another CMD64GX4M4C3000C15 64GB kit running total 128GB memories. I am on Asus Prime X299 Deluxe and Core i9 7940X Memory running in Quad Channel mode. I am wondering if I can just buy another set of CMD64GX4M4C3000C15? Any compatibility issues if I am going to run in Quad Channel mode? Since I cannot see what chip is being use until I install them in the computer and use programs to read the SPD data. So if I buy the set is with Samsung B-Die, will I run into compatibility issue? Or worse, If what I bought is with SK Hynix chips in it but produce in different LOT, will there be any compatibility issue? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
