blackops
Hi, I have some ddr4-3200 on a z370 motherboard and 8700k at stock. I've been running the memory for a year or so with XMP disabled. I've just enabled the XMP profile of 3200Mhz and the system is stable with prime95 and memtest. Is it safe for the cpu to run the ddr4 at that speed? I heard an Intel technician say it can damage the memory controller on the cpu.
