Yes.

No, the H100 uses a totally different mounting to the H100i.

Looking at the H100 image below then I suspect it may fit, were it my system I would give it a try.

Yes.

You will need the amd mounting (hope you saved the box or have a organized spare part storage. I searched for a week to find the mount.) Just like these one in the picture above.

I can confirm that the original H100 will mount to AM4 socket without any modifications. I just installed this AIO onto a Ryzen system.

Using the same brackets that look like "square hooks", they will clip onto the motherboard's original mount effortlessly.

Unfortunately, Corsair staff is trained to say you need to buy a new AIO cooler as per the email they sent me:

Unfortunately, it seems that Corsair is also trying to make money from old customers and misleading them to buy stuff they don't need. What a shame!

Please re-read what they said. They gave you a link to the H100 product page which does not list AM4. That's why they said what they said. They're trained to read the documentation. The are NOT trained to "make money and mislead people". Apparently they weren't aware that AM2/3/4 sockets use the same bracket, that's all. That's been addressed.
