Default H100 back plate loose

I have just purchased the H100 and an assembling the system as I type (on my current PC). I have secured the back plate using the supplied retention screws/standoffs, but I can still move the bracket by about 1mm is this correct of should this be tight and have no play in it at all.

My build has paused until I hear a reply ...

Check bracket once more. You can't turn like you want. Look on manual picture carefull. Maybe you turn bracket. Only if you install like on this picture bracket stay good.
I know because for my motherboard I little move this 4 holders to find right place in motherboard. You must be carefull can't scratch motherboard, little buy little.

If you turn somehow different always one screews will fall, not fall but you will have 2-3mm on back side
You can move bracket little and screews but when you fix pump everything must stay fixed.
If you use screewdriver easy only with two fingers and thats enough.

even tho there may be screw driver holes to tighten ,it isnt suggested using a screwdriver as hand tightening is good enough to avoid breakage

Yes I know but I know what doing. It's to inconvenient with fingers on begining.
Space is to small.
I must hold block too and no space for that. I use screewdriver little than I can tight more with fingers at the end.
Now my screews can remove with two finger it's not too tight.

just4today what is with your problem???
If you install like on picture no way too something go wrong it's so simple thing only if it's damage somehow but I don't know how someone can damage that.

try having a micro atx case with 4 drives,a dvd and a hard drive hot swap bay all packed like sardines
makes everything very cramped
i agree knowing how much to tighten using a screwdriver but theres people putting computers together thats never used tools before so now corsair says finger tight is good enough.
guess they have to cover all the bases

Hilarious! I was laughing so hard when I read that, man that`s a good one.

No problem here. I was only confirming that the backplate will tighten up once the pump is secured.

I have the H60 and the H100 and backplates move on both until you install the pump. It is not a problem so go ahead with your build.
