LITEchazr Posted July 1, 2017 Share Posted July 1, 2017 Hello all, I'm about to order all the parts in my specs but I'm unsure if a 240mm would fit on top, as I've read that it requires low-profile memory for it to fit, something that is quite vague to me... I'd be really interested in overclocking, making me want to go 240mm rather than 120. I'm quite new at this, so I was also wondering if it does make sense to do so ?... thanks in advance ! c-attack Posted July 1, 2017 Share Posted July 1, 2017 LOL. Some people still sleep at night. Anyway, low profile memory is a generic term for "no massively tall heatsinks". The over/under line appears to be around 42-43mm in module height. This means Corsair Dominator and LED Vengeance modules are too tall for a top mount 240. Corsair Vengeance LPX modules (38mm) should work. There are a lot threads with pictures in the case section of the forum (search: 460X), however watch the date. There was a lot of speculation early on and the process of figuring this out took some time. If you stay under that 42mm line, you will have the option of front or top mount for the 240mm.
