How loud should a H100i pump be?

Hello,

Currently using a H100i on my corsair 350D, and iv'e replaced the stock fans with some corsair SP120 silent editions because the stock ones were extremely loud.

Now iv'e noticed how loud the pump is on the unit itself. I'm 100% sure its the H100i pump as iv'e removed every noise generating component (even my hard drive) and I can still hear this noise. I can hear it across my room while watching a movie, and its impossible to sleep with my computer on in the background.

The noise itself is not a that of a grinding or anything else that iv'e came across on my research about my issue. Its just a constant humming noise that remains consistent. It just sounds like a pump working away, I assumed it wouldn't be audible when I watched reviews of the unit.

So do I have faulty unit or are all h100i's this loud?

The H100i's pump will create some noise but noise that can be heard from across the room is not normal.

Request an RMA, upload a picture of your invoice to replace the cooler or contact your seller and ask if they can replace it for you.
