scook9
I had to RMA my x128 in late January and the replacement I got already has firmware 2.1 (yet the current released version is 2.0?). I just want to make sure that I have the best available and that I can have TRIM enabled in both my OS and SSD so that I can get the optimal performance. I ran CrystalDiskMark and got this result: http://i46.tinypic.com/142565s.jpg This SSD is installed in my Alienware M17x laptop with an nvidia chipset so I have the nvidia storage controller driver removed since I heard that it blocks the TRIM functionality - the defauly Microsoft/windows 7 storage driver is in place at the moment. I am using windows 7 professional 64-bit as well. The OS was freshly installed onto the SSD. What do I need to do to make sure that I have TRIM working? I did the command prompt check and it shows as working and I see it in CrystalDisk Info but my drive when left idle for a few hours does not seem to change the performance results at all. I mainly notice that my write speeds are well below spec Thanks in advance for any help you give
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 16, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 16, 2010 This has been answered in the F.A.Q. and in the firmware update post. Firmware 1.1 2.0 and 2.1 are all based on Indilinx 1819 reference firmware, you have the latest version we offer.
