Falkos
I understand somewhat about corsair link and I am building a new system. It comes with a very small corsair link cable that I don't know what to do with. I understand the USB cable
DevBiker
You plug it into a USB 2.0 header on your motherboard. It allows you to monitor and control the PSU. It is optional.
Falkos
Not that cable, there is another smaller cable that has a connection i am not familiar with. Looking at the manual might help as well here. There are two. There is a "Usb Cable (9 pin)", this is the one that plugs into the USB header. Great and no problems here. There is also a "Corsair Link Cable (4 pin)", I don't understand this one. As far as I can tell, it is useless. But if actually completely useless, why include it. I see where it plugs into the PSU, but not sure what to do with the other end, if anything.
DevBiker
That does the same thing but uses a different (now deprecated) connection. It works with one or two of the earlier coolers; I can't recall which ones off the top of my head. If you have the USB connection, you don't need it. Falkos
Thank you. I thought this might be the situation but wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. Corsair, make better note of this useless cable!
