Force MP500 slow boot UEFI

Recommended Posts

Today I upgraded my HP ENVY 13 (Kaby Lake, 7th Gen i5) laptop with this brand new MP500 120gb.

For some strange reasen booting into Windows 10 is very slow. It takes a good one minute to get into the desktop. (spinning white dots with HP logo above)

Using ChrystelDiskMark speeds are very good. (2300mb/read, 1600mb/s write)

I installed Windows 10 via UEFI. (GPT partioned)

Any idea?

(Old SSD was a Sandisk Z400s.)

Can this be a driver issue? It's using standard Windows 10 NVME drivers now.

When did the slow boot time start appearing? After an application install?

Is the current Windows a clean install?

Make sure your drivers, Windows, etc are up to date. The generic NVME drivers should not matter.

Yes it's a clean install. No applications installed at all. Latest Windows Updates.

When I put back the Sandisk SSD it boots blazing fast.

ciao a tutti

consigli???

devo ritornarla e cambiare prodotto?

Translated;

Hello to all

I bought a Tuesday m.2 MP500 240GB and feedback too slow in general.

The boot is not bad, about 14sec but cmq unacceptable. Copying files, opening applications is fast as expected.

A normal m.2 sata 850evo is significantly faster

tips ???

I have to return it and change the product?

Does your system support NVMe?

Did you install Windows under UEFI (GPT) mode?

Is fast boot enabled in the UEFI?

Nevermind. Returned the MP500, bought 960 EVO, all works well now.

Pity, that corsair doesn't provide the support samsung does.

The toolbox doesn't even support mp500, not to mention the amount of function in samsung's magician and overal usefulness.

There is no dedicated driver, that would help those, who does'nt want to use Win 10.

Hope that in near future corsair will work this through.
