ericeric Posted March 11, 2011 Share Posted March 11, 2011 Recently took advantage of falling ram prices to get one of these 3 x 4g vengence kits. They have replaced a 3 x 2G kit tr3x6g1600c8 kit and are running on a gigabyte ga-ex58-ud5 board. Have o/c the i7 920 to 4.2 and the only adjustment made when I switched was to decrease the dram volts from 1.66 to 1.5. Timings are 9-9-9-26. cmd 2. All running fine,memtested for 24hours ok and in win 7 64 bit ok. Used for gaming so was wondering if this kit could go faster ? xmp off at mo. Any help welcomed, thanks in advance.
