twicksisted
Hi, its my first post on this forum so I'll start with a hello :) I received a brand new Force 3 GT 120GB today and cloned my old operating system drive to it (that was on a ******** 64gb SSD previously). The drive works well and appears to be very fast and snappy, however if I try to run a benchmarking tool like ATTO, I get a bluescreen after a couple of minutes. I also get a bluescreen if trying to render video in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 after a couple of minutes. It appears the problem is only when the drives I/O is getting maxxed. Nothing else seems to give me a bluescreen, only these two programs so far. The serial number is: 112502508***********
Synthohol
you can start with the simple stuff, change cables and ports and see if the issue changes at all
Yellowbeard
You may want to try a clean install using the latest Intel RST drivers. Since it's a cloned OS, I would not automatically assume that the drive is at fault.
twicksisted
Hey guys, just an update... I've managed to get the drive to work with ATTO without bluescreening. I set my ram voltage in the BIOS to 1.5v instead of auto and that seems to have done the trick. now I have another issue :( Im only getting SATA 2 speeds even though im using AHCI mode & one of the SATA 6GB ports! http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a267/twicksisted/ATTO-result-Force-3-GT.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a267/twicksisted/as-ssd-result-Force-3-GT.jpg
TheOne687
Make sure the drive is plugged into the gray ports and not the navy blue as those are the Marvell and the gray are the Intel SATAIII.
