bkskaggs
Was running "other" ram, installed new corsair ram (dual channel 256mbX2). Part # CMX256A-2700C2. It will not boot up windows corectly. I ran memtest on both sticks and each stick at once in the dual slot, no errors. It will also not boot up correctly with the "old" ram now. These problems only happen in dual mode, it works perfect in single channel. I have tried to increase the volts to 2.7 and up. my timings are 7,3,3,2.5. I have also changed these setting around and tried to boot...no luck. My specs are as follows: AMD ath 2.8 Abit nf7-s2 2X XMS 256 2700 ram timing 100% 7,3,3,2.5 volts=2.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 11, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 11, 2004 If the modules will pass www.memtest.org one up or with both in single channel but not post or run properly in dual channel that would suggest a problem with the chipset or CPU! I would test the memory on another system if you can to be sure!

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 11, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 11, 2004 That does not make any sense, but if it works I would not mess with it!
