jvtsvr4
Hello, I purchased the H80i from Amazon and received it today. I began assembling today and I noticed the y cable does not fit the fans included. The Y cable has some weird female connector instead of the 4 prong male connector to fit the 4 pin female fans. Am I missing something? Please see the pic below. Fan connectors on the left and y connector on the right. Thanks! https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4259789/IMG_0669.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4259789/IMG_0671.JPG
Latharion
Those are plastic protective covers for the metal contact leads that connect to PWM fans. They are very easy to remove. Simply pull them off. They work like motherboard jumpers in their ease of removal (not in function). They are totally normal.
jvtsvr4
WOW! Do I feel stupid. I pulled on them but not hard enough and it looked like the plastic was all one piece. Thank you!

ad47uk
Opps, i just sent my second H80I back to Amazon, one because of a damaged radiator, the second because of the y cable. Corsair should really put a note on in the package. Poor Amazon, they will not be happy.
