warfieldm
I'm running into a situation where we have multiple sets of SSDs in a RAID 6 configuration. The older sets of drives (8) take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to build while the newer sets take approximately 4.5 to 5 hours to build. The only difference I'm able to ascertain is the firmware version - the old drives have rev VBM18C1Q while the new drives have VBM19C1Q. For the purpose of our continued diagnostics, would you be able to direct me to the download location for the VBM18C1Q firmware? Thanks, Matt
Wired
There is no download for that firmware, but if you contact them via email (ramguy@corsair.com) they may be able to help you out. Are the controller cards and general setup the same in each RAID?
warfieldm
Thanks for the quick response and the advice. Yes, the RAID controllers are the same. Actually, we've duplicated the described condition on the same computer by swapping the SSDs, old for new and back again. So, same hardware, cables, power supply, etc. etc.
