skan
Hello, As the title says. Will Corsair release a version of Strafe that has dedicated media keys? and also RGB? Really want this keyboard after watching linus video about it, the only thing that's holding me are those media keys which are a must have for me. Thanks. terabyte
There is no point in them releasing a new strafe keyboard with media keys and RGB. That's basically what the K70/K95 RGB keyboards are for.
skan
I do like that red plate under the keys, it's something new and it makes it look good. I actually like this keyboard more than the k70 (design wise).
smilertoo
But an RGB Strafe could fix the k70 shortcomings.
terabyte
Strafe is plastic while K70 is aluminum though. Better quality build :p:
ScarredMecha
You can just bind the F-Keys to the media keys as well as volume control using CUE.
skan
terabyte, completely missed that feature, guess i'll catch the k70 then. thanks!
Inheritance
The K70 non RGb doesnt support CUE so do take that in to account if CUe matters to you
robert3892
As mentioned by others the K70 has this feature. The STRAFE was not made to replace the K70. For a little extra cost the K70 will have this feature. Personally I like the fit and feel of the STRAFE as is and an extra media control area would have made it too big. Corsair Employee Corsair James Posted July 28, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 28, 2015 STRAFE was designed to offer a different set of features to exist next to the K70. Some people made want dedicated media keys and the aluminum while others may want a keyboard at a lower price point along with newer CUE functionality. oliseo
There is no point in them releasing a new strafe keyboard with media keys and RGB. That's basically what the K70/K95 RGB keyboards are for. And yet they're releasing a new RGB strafe that has an updated controller (by all accounts) that offers true 16.8 million colour transitions. So now you have a lower model offering better functionality than a flagship model.

And if they do I hope they change the naming, there is way too much confusion with all the whole K70/K95 RGB and non-RGB >.<

I think it would be even more complicate and confusing with this: K70 non-RGBK70 RGBK70 RGB v2.0K95 non-RGBK95 RGBK95 RGB v2.
Inheritance
Another issue could be people trying to pass off old K70 RGB as new v2.0s. They would have to change something so users can tell the difference between them. Maybe use the new logo and have it light up?
Rvh
mehh i'm not a huge fan of lighting up logo's, i like my k70 with black sails ´¿´ kaz'im'a'pirate'yo.
