How manufacturers are testing high speed ram

Hello,

i just bought new corsair ram CMK32GX4M2F4000C19 and of course i have problems running it even at 3,6 GHz on my Maximus VIII Gene which should support speeds up to 4,2 GHz with newer bioses :sigh!:

I understand its not in qvl, its supernew (its not even listed on corsair site) etc., but im also curious how manufacturers like Corsair are testing such sticks when there is no motherboard or maybe even cpu which can run such high density modules at those speeds :dunno:

Before i got my Maximus IX Apex i also had a M8G and it needed manual settings for DDR4-4000 even with 2x8GB Single Rank modules, so you will probably also have to go manual with your 2x16GB Kit for DR4-3866+. Some users in my home forum reported that earlier bios releases might actually be better / need less tweaking with high speed memory.

Kits like these are most likely made for high end Kaby Lake X setups, that have very little problems hitting DDR4-4000 or 4133 even with 16GB modules.
