AX860i reboots when Link starts

hi guys! was this issue ever resolved? I have the exact same issue!!!!

i have an h115i which works perfectly with link. but if i have the ax860i plugged in and launch link - the entire pc just powers down (not cleanly) and then reboots.

I have done the ax self test which powers on the fan for a bit and the light then goes green until i release the self test button....

is the dongle faulty? if i had to buy the commander mini would the porblem go away or is the PSU faulty but still passing the self test somehow?

I simply gave up, I've detuched the data cable fro the psu and simply I don't monitor the device.

Pretty odd, but that's my situation.

Probably my ax1200 is faulty since the self test doesn't pass, but I cannot stay without PSU for the time to be replaced

again - testing i have done...

1. psu self test passes

2. windows 10 picks up the usb dongle perfectly - no driver conflicts etc.

3. only when launching link and it starts communicating with the psu does the system power off immediately

4. h115i works fine with link

5. brand new motherboard so the usb headers are not at fault

6. psu link works with an older version of link - 2.4 but nothing newer?

I have the exact same issue as Benna. REALLY want to get this working. Only Corsair component not working properly is the PSU and it's driving me crazy. @jonnyguru

You know you can do an advanced RMA with Corsair support?

Do you have the same problem as Benna or the same problem as dewaldlange? They're most likely two different issues, which is why two year old threads shouldn't be bumped and why I split this off into a separate thread.

Benna's PSU failed the "self test" when all of the cables were disconnected. Dewaldlange's passes the self test, so this may be a firmware/software issue.

Sorry for the late reply here! Well, perhaps it is slightly different at 2nd thought. I am using the Corsair Commander Pro to connect the PSU's (Ax1500i) Corsair link, rather than directly from the PSU to the motherboard (no slots left). It shuts everything down when trying to use the link software for PSU. Other than when that is connected, all the other Corsair link items work well with the software.

Ok. For troubleshooting purposes: What happens when you're only using the PSU with Link with the PSU plugged directly into the motherboard.

I have noted several posts about this and also noticed that CL 4.8.0.82 + CL 4.8.2.1 + CL 4.8.3.8 mess up the OCP settings on my AX1500i.

The usual setup of my AX1500i is:

I just noticed the PCIe #10 slider + [ 40 A ] box are not vertically aligned below the others and feel this should be fixed :o:. I wonder what happens when there are 12 x PCIe outputs.
SIV reports this as follows and all the OCP limits are as expected.

If I disable OCP for PCIe #2 then enable it again and restart [Link Power] I see as follows:

As you can see all the OCP limits are zero, so I expect CL 4.8.0.82 + CL 4.8.2.1 + CL 4.8.3.8 have gone wonky and messed up the OCP settings.
After a second SIV will update the screen and change all the 0's to 20's as 20 amps is the minimum.
If I then closedown CL 4.8.0.82, CL 4.8.2.1 or CL 4.8.3.8 and start it again then SIV once again reports the expected values.
The way [Link Power] works is to read the OCP settings from the hardware when it's selected, but does not re-read them for each update.
From http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=916440 I know there are two different revisions of AX1500i that have different OCP facilities, so CL4 must have been updated for these.
I also suspect more AXi PSUs may be supported by CL 4.8.0.82 + CL 4.8.2.1 + CL 4.8.3.8 given what's in corsairsiusbxp.inf.
There seems to be a similar effect in http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=919753 which is an AX860i which also has the later V0.0.01 firmware.
I feel corsairsiusbxp.inf setting all the device names to "Corsair USBXp Driver" makes it harder to help members, especially when they have both an Asetek cooler and AXi PSU.
They are Devices and not Drivers so calling them "Corsair USBXp Driver" is incorrect.
I expect corsairsiusbxp.inf should be fixed so an AX1500i is reported by Device Manager as a "Corsair AX1500i PSU", a H80iGT as a "Corsair HydroSeries H80iGT", etc..
The corsairsiusbxp.cat file is not counter signed by Microsoft and I suspect this is the root cause of all the code 52 issues on Windows 10 systems with secure boot enabled.

I suspect CL 4.8.0.82 introduced the OCP effects which still exist in CL 4.8.2.1 and wonder if this could be the root cause of some of the reboot issues.
