Aeghin
Hello, I recently purchased Corsair's K65 RGB Rapidfire gaming keyboard. I've used the software and I just have the solid red color on all keys saved onto the onboard so I don't need to run CUE in the background. I just want to know if i am at a disadvantage of not using the keyboard to its full potential. Will not running CUE in the background affect the polling rate? I'm sure it should and it shouldn't affect the hardware in anyway. Should I be fine not running CUE? Am I missing something important or should I just run it regardless? I am trying to run less background apps when I'm gaming. I'm already running two separate ones for headset and mouse. Adding one more for the keyboard probably won't affect my gameplay but I don't know how much impact it has on the performance when gaming. Anything suggestion will help! Zardoz66
I found that it does not use much CPU at all, and most likely not enough to impact a game to the point of unplayable.
Comet 1626864951
As long as you are happy with the performance and static lighting, there is no need to run CUE. Some people run CUE while gaming to use extra features, such as macros.
