Thalan
I hope I'm posting this in the right place. Currently I'm working on building a FULL AMD build with my PC.It's gonna take a little time over the next few months for me to build but I will get it done. Currently I'm running a MSI 785GT-E63 mobo with a AMD PhenomII x4 980 CPU, 8 gigs of DDR2 ram and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 560Ti SC video card. I'm planning on going with the ASUS Crosshair Formula V 990FX AM3+ Mobo using the same CPU and eventually The Radeon 7950 3 Gig video card. Now what I'm needing to know is what kind of DDR3 RAM would I need to use to make a complete AMD system versus what would be best for the build. Thalan
Now I have been running into one more problem and that is cooling. I'm currently using a Corsair H50 cpu cooler, but I see most people who overclock use air cooled systems. So are the air coolers better than what I have? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 21, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 21, 2012 H50 should be fine but you might need to add a second fan for best cooling
