cwk Posted June 26, 2018 Share Posted June 26, 2018 Hi, I saw a lot of other threads about high idle temps and volume, the sound seems very similar to this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=28&v=I-HxDfIJN5w) in how it sounds/how loud it is. Also I saw in another thread that CPU idles between 40 and 50 are abnormal and should be fixed, and I've got my machine sitting here purely at idle for a while, no updates or downloads running, and all cores are 41-43 in a 25c ambient room with good ventilation around the machine. Just to confirm, this is way above what I expected from an advertised-as 20dB machine, and would like to get it replaced if possible. I ordered it through corsair.com.
