Hello,

I installed my H50 today, it was pretty simple.

On start up The temps were about 45 idle.

I'm back after 5 hours and the system is idling at 58.

There is no overclocking done.

What might be the problem here?

The case is placed against a wall, would that be a problem.

Also, Which would be the best place for the cooler master 120mm fan which came with the elite 310.

Thanks!

Looking at the elite 310 on new egg I'm guessing you have the fan on the H50 as an exhaust and the only intake is the one in front of the HDDs? My guess is that it needs more air. Do you have a fan on the side panel? If you have an extra fan put it on the side panel as an intake. You can also try reversing the back exhaust fan as an intake and then using the side panel fan as an exhaust. If you don't mind modding the case you can make a top exhaust on the top panel then you can use the rear fan as an intake as well.

Hello,

The H50 fan is set up as an intake. The other fan was on the side panels, but i put it in the front of the hdd's today.

I just made holes in the plywood where the exhaust is, to get some ventilation.

Its idling at 46 now. The front fan pushing air out, the h50's fan in and the smps out.

I got the h50 for a quite pc and i won't be overclocking.

THanks

@Killer, I will post a picture to elaborate where the pc is kept tomorrow,

30 minutes playing dirt 2 and the temp went to 62.

I'd like to know, should the back of the elite 310 get a lot of ventilation, I guess what's happening here is the PSU which is above the h50 intake is pushing out the heat which is i guess taken in by the h50's fan.

The drilled holes aren't helping.

Here's how the case is placed:

[update] I Turned it around here are the temps with air conditioning on set at 16 d

http://i41.tinypic.com/of12t3.gif

Without the a/c, idle temp ranges from 40-42. A 10 minute load went to about 55.

I guess problem's solved, all i had to do was turn it around!
