sepupcorfirms
I upgraded my SSD F80A (system drive) with the latest firmware 2.4. I wasn't able to upgrade it over the normal sata port, but used the onboard Jmicron (esata) controller. Anyone had any success in upgrading firmware over the normal sata ports on this motherboard? (Nvidia 650i chipset) Jmicron JMB36X works with win7 (32-bit) driver called "Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA-controller" and so the firmware update tool is able to find the ssd and upgrade it. As the system can't boot over esata I had to install win7 to another drive and hook up the SSD to esata and then do the upgrade.
sepupcorfirms
Corsair F80A: These are the speeds I'm getting with my ssd firmware version 2.1a and 2.4 - and compared to 2x WD 1TB drives in raid0. Am I doing it wrong?
