Have connected the PSU to the GPU (8 and 6) the GPU to a PCI 16 - PCI 1 the riser to a SATA cable and the SATA cable to the PSU. Nothing. I have never has a corsair should it hum, or make any nosie or get warm when in idle. Thanks Roy
DevBiker
Do you have anything connected to the ATX 24-pin connector? You need something to actually turn on the PSU ... that comes through the 24-pin connector. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Antrons-24-Pin-Jump-Starter-Bridge/dp/B00K38IKRY ... or you could use a paperclip, as long as you're sure you know the right pins to jump. The GPU isn't getting enough power from the PCI Express interface alone.
