Can I have the same chip when buying 2 kits?

Hello, this is my first time in the forum :)

I'm planning on building a new rig, possibly with i7 3930K paired with Asus P9X79 Pro motherboard. Now, for the cooler, as far as I know, most air cooler will block the RAM slot, so I have to consider buying some LP Corsair kit. (of course, I could also use H100 cooler as an option).

Unfortunately, AFAIK, Corsair LP only available in 4x4GB kit, while I want to install 32GB.

If I buy 2 kits of Corsair LP 4x4GB, will they all guaranteed to have the same chip to ensure compatibility?

nope, 2 kits are unsupported, see below.

that being said, the Vengeance sticks seem to stand the highest chance of compatibility when combined although i would not suggest it anyway. your coin ;):

CMP32GX3M4X1600C10 is a certified 32 gig kit for your board, you may want to carefully consider your CPU cooler around it if you want a single certified kit at 32Gb.

Hmmm, I'll try to find another cooler then.

BTW, the online shop where I reside (Indonesia) only list this model as the only 32GB kit:

CMZ32GX3M1A1600C10

and when I search that model in Corsair memory finder, it came up as "no result". I noticed the "M4X" in the model you mentioned, and "M1A" in the shop's model. What's the difference? Another online shop (also in Indonesia) listed this: CMZ32GX3M4A1600C10

Is it only a typo or something?

Well, I'm aware that using more than 4GB RAM requires a 64 bit OS. As for the 32GB RAM, it's a matter of preference.

CMP32GX3M4X1600C10 is the best model

Dominator is bether then Vengeance

But like a said before u will get slower performence with 32GB kit as 8GB modual as biger latency

10-10-10-27 for 1600MHz!!!

You could get 9-9-9-24, 8-8-8-24 and enven as slow 7-8-7-20 on ddr3 1600MHz

I appreciate your suggestion, but I'm not into overclocking.

I just want to know why I can't find CMZ32GX3M1A1600C10 or CMZ32GX3M4A1600C10 with Corsair memory finder. Maybe someone with the knowledge of Corsair memory products know the reason?

To some extent Turbonerfs. Not every one is into overclocking and not everyone is into or worried about lower latencies. What people do with their machines varies and sometimes, greater capacity can be faster than lower latencies.

Each of Corsairs lines have their "target consumer" What may be the best choice for you may not be for the next guy.
